- Endorsements Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) as required
- Ability to pass medical examination

Job Duties
- Transport students in a timely manner to and from school and/or school activities while following safety procedures and applicable State Board of Education rules and regulations
- Operate and safely drive a school bus in various weather, road and traffic conditions
- Communicate bus rules, safety and behavior requirements to passengers and address improper behavior
- Communicate with students' parents to resolve inappropriate or unsafe behavior
- Assist students boarding and unloading the bus, including those with wheelchairs and adaptive equipment
- Inspect buses daily for deficiencies and perform routine maintenance such as fluid and fuel level checks and tire pressure inspections
- Regulate heating, lighting, and ventilating systems for passenger comfort
- Comply with federal, state, and district rules and traffic regulations related to school bus operation
- Comply with DOT drug and alcohol testing requirements
- Complete all records and reports timely and accurately
- Read maps and follow route or trip logs
- Operate two-way radio
- Maintain cleanliness of the bus
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership
