Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years experience in social or recreational programs in healthcare
  • Supervisory and/or management experience preferred
  • Knowledge of resident needs evaluation and program adjustment
  • Ability to establish effective relationships with residents, family, and staff
  • Strong documentation and computer skills
  • Ability to respond professionally to concerns
  • Strong organizational skills and task prioritization
  • Positive and professional representation of the community
  • Experience in training, staff development, and motivation
  • Current state driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • Ability to pass criminal background check

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in social or recreational programming in healthcare settings
  • Supervisory or management experience preferred
  • Ability to evaluate and adjust programming based on resident needs
  • Strong interpersonal skills to establish relationships with residents, families, and staff
  • Skilled in documentation and basic computer use
  • Experience with training and staff development
  • Current and valid state driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • Ability to pass criminal background check
  • Knowledge of community and resident care standards

Job Duties

  • Create and display monthly calendar of events based on resident interest and standards
  • Provide activities program seven days a week built around resident life profiles
  • Conduct diverse programs including physical, creative, cognitive, social, outdoor activities, outings, spiritual programs, and resident involvement opportunities
  • Establish and manage Ambassador program encouraging resident leadership
  • Collaborate with Health Services Director to maintain health and wellness programs
  • Utilize Sagely software for calendar and newsletter creation and monitor resident participation
  • Provide direct supervision of programming staff including hiring, evaluation, and discipline
  • Participate in community management team meetings and assist Administrator with management duties
  • Manage department budget and vendor documentation
  • Assist with marketing responsibilities and networking with referral sources
  • Facilitate monthly resident council meetings to address community concerns
  • Train staff and maintain training records
  • Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers ensuring compliance with protocols
  • Foster family and community support through newsletters and programs
