Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years experience in social or recreational programs in healthcare
- Supervisory and/or management experience preferred
- Knowledge of resident needs evaluation and program adjustment
- Ability to establish effective relationships with residents, family, and staff
- Strong documentation and computer skills
- Ability to respond professionally to concerns
- Strong organizational skills and task prioritization
- Positive and professional representation of the community
- Experience in training, staff development, and motivation
- Current state driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Ability to pass criminal background check
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in social or recreational programming in healthcare settings
- Supervisory or management experience preferred
- Ability to evaluate and adjust programming based on resident needs
- Strong interpersonal skills to establish relationships with residents, families, and staff
- Skilled in documentation and basic computer use
- Experience with training and staff development
- Current and valid state driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to pass criminal background check
- Knowledge of community and resident care standards
Job Duties
- Create and display monthly calendar of events based on resident interest and standards
- Provide activities program seven days a week built around resident life profiles
- Conduct diverse programs including physical, creative, cognitive, social, outdoor activities, outings, spiritual programs, and resident involvement opportunities
- Establish and manage Ambassador program encouraging resident leadership
- Collaborate with Health Services Director to maintain health and wellness programs
- Utilize Sagely software for calendar and newsletter creation and monitor resident participation
- Provide direct supervision of programming staff including hiring, evaluation, and discipline
- Participate in community management team meetings and assist Administrator with management duties
- Manage department budget and vendor documentation
- Assist with marketing responsibilities and networking with referral sources
- Facilitate monthly resident council meetings to address community concerns
- Train staff and maintain training records
- Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers ensuring compliance with protocols
- Foster family and community support through newsletters and programs
