Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prefer one year of experience coordinating or teaching activities with seniors
  • Current Class C driver license, Class B license to transport residents a plus
  • Proficient in MS Office programs such as Word, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint
  • Willing to comply with health and safety protocols including vaccination and use of personal protective equipment
  • Able to drive community vehicles
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to maintain a safe environment

Job Duties

  • Assist the Activity Director in providing an interesting, creative, and rewarding social atmosphere throughout the Assisted Living area
  • Promote resident participation through regularly scheduled high-quality activities, excursions, special events, guest speakers, movie showings, exercise sessions, clubs, games, art and creativity opportunities, and educational classes
  • Communicate effectively and display tact and friendliness when dealing with residents, families, visitors, co-workers, and supervisors
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards
  • Drive community vehicles as needed
  • Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments
