Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of experience in social or recreational programs in a healthcare setting preferred
  • Experience planning and directing activities for elderly residents
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Ability to display enthusiasm and a positive attitude
  • Must be able to evaluate residents' needs and adjust programming
  • Able to respond to concerns respectfully and professionally
  • Ability to represent the community positively
  • Current and valid state driver's license
  • Must be able to pass criminal background clearance

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Enthusiastic and positive attitude towards promoting activities

  • Valid state driver's license
  • Capacity to pass criminal background clearance

Job Duties

  • Assist Resident Experience Director in planning and providing activities that support residents' quality of life
  • Follow and implement programs posted on the Calendar of Events
  • Assist in maintaining updated social history and Life Profile of each resident
  • Support the Better Health for a Better Self program for health and wellness
  • Meet new residents and families and encourage participation in activities
  • Maintain inventory of activity supplies and submit monthly needs list
  • Assist with set up and break down of events and holiday parties
  • Operate and drive community bus for resident outings and outreach
  • Perform other duties assigned by supervisor
