Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- one year of experience working in a social or recreational program in a healthcare setting preferred
- minimal experience in planning and directing activities for elderly residents and organizing special programs for residents, families, and staff
- good verbal communication skills including ability to give directions pleasantly and clearly
- ability to display enthusiasm and positive attitude in promoting activities and enlisting support of team members
- ability to evaluate residents' needs and adjust programming accordingly
- ability to respond to resident, family, or team concerns respectfully, patiently, and professionally
- ability to represent the community positively and professionally
- current and valid state driver's license
- must be able to pass a criminal background clearance
Job Qualifications

- at least one year of experience in a social or recreational program in a healthcare setting preferred
- experience in planning and directing activities for elderly residents and organizing special programs

Job Duties
- assist resident experience director in planning and providing activities that support and maintain the residents' quality of life and meet state requirements for residents' social, physical, spiritual, and mental health
- follow and implement programs posted on the calendar of events created by the resident experience director
- assist the resident experience director in maintaining an updated social history and life profile of each resident
- assist the resident experience director in maintaining a successful health and wellness program
- meet all new residents and families upon arrival to inform them of the activity program and encourage participation
- maintain the inventory of activity supplies and equipment and submit monthly lists of needs
- assist with set up and break down of events and holiday parties
- operate and drive the community bus for resident outings and other programming away from the community
- perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
