Job Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- completion of 36 hour Activity Course desired but not required
- previous experience in congregate setting or long-term care desired
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- knowledge of developing activity schedules
- experience organizing peer and individual events
- experience with senior continuum care
- skills in assessing resident capabilities and preferences
- proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- solid organizational and multitasking skills
- effective communication skills in English
Job Duties
- Utilizes assessment data to determine resident preferences and capabilities for social programs
- plans and implements diverse social programs addressing physical, cognitive, spiritual, and creative needs
- balances social program calendar to reflect resident profiles
- recommends and coordinates programming calendars community-wide
- incorporates volunteers into programming effectively
- collaborates with team on scheduling and program adjustments
- maintains punctual attendance and participates in training and education
