Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • completion of 36 hour Activity Course desired but not required
  • previous experience in congregate setting or long-term care desired

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • knowledge of developing activity schedules
  • experience organizing peer and individual events
  • experience with senior continuum care
  • skills in assessing resident capabilities and preferences
  • proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • solid organizational and multitasking skills
  • effective communication skills in English

Job Duties

  • Utilizes assessment data to determine resident preferences and capabilities for social programs
  • plans and implements diverse social programs addressing physical, cognitive, spiritual, and creative needs
  • balances social program calendar to reflect resident profiles
  • recommends and coordinates programming calendars community-wide
  • incorporates volunteers into programming effectively
  • collaborates with team on scheduling and program adjustments
  • maintains punctual attendance and participates in training and education
