Sapphire Health Services is a leading healthcare provider dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals requiring specialized care. One of its newest communities, McKenzie Manor, formerly known as SouthTowne, was acquired in November 2022. This community focuses exclusively on memory care and consists of 47 total units designed to provide a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for residents. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • experience in activity planning or working with elderly or memory care residents preferred
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to engage residents with varying needs
  • physical ability to assist with event setup and mealtime assistance
  • commitment to providing compassionate care
  • willingness to participate in ongoing training and development
  • ability to document resident participation accurately

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in activity coordination or related field preferred but not required
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • compassionate and patient demeanor
  • organizational skills to manage multiple tasks
  • basic computer skills for documentation
  • knowledge of memory care principles is a plus

Job Duties

  • Assist in the planning and carrying out of the facilities life enrichment program
  • conduct one on one activities with residents
  • collaborate with outside community organizations or volunteers
  • document all participation from residents
  • assist in timely decorating for holidays or special events
  • assist during mealtime as needed
  • perform other duties as assigned
