Job Description
Our senior living community is a vibrant and compassionate establishment dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for our residents, their families, and the surrounding community. Guided by our CAPLICO Core Values—Celebration, Accountability, Passion for Learning, Love One Another, Intelligent Risk Taking, Customer Second (Employee First!), and Ownership—we strive to create an environment where every resident feels valued and engaged. As part of a network under The Pennant Group, Inc., which oversees numerous healthcare services and senior living communities across the United States, we maintain high standards of care and a commitment to the well-being of our residents.
We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Activities Coordinator to join our team. This role is pivotal to fostering a lively and supportive community atmosphere through the development and execution of diverse activities tailored to meet the needs and interests of residents at all levels of care. Working closely with the Activities Director, the Activities Coordinator helps curate a multi-faceted daily and monthly schedule that encourages individuality, participation, and leadership among residents. The coordinator actively leads activities, motivates resident participation, manages administrative responsibilities related to the activity program, and facilitates opportunities for residents to engage with community projects. This position demands creativity, empathy, effective communication skills, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact in seniors' lives.
In this role, the Activities Coordinator will contribute to designing and implementing activity calendars, lead events, maintain essential records such as sign-up sheets, order necessary supplies, and assist in transportation for resident outings. The ideal candidate will be energetic, personable, and imaginative with an understanding of the physical and emotional aspects of aging. They must possess the ability to motivate residents effectively and be an empathetic listener able to communicate clearly with both residents and staff. This is a full-time opportunity where the candidate plays a key role in promoting community involvement, enhancing residents' experiences, and supporting the values that drive our community. We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer, dedicated to diversity and inclusion in our workforce.
