Job Requirements

  • High school degree required
  • At least one year experience working with elderly in social or recreational or healthcare settings
  • Ability to use computers including PCC Microsoft Word Publisher
  • Ability to learn and adapt to technology
  • Must be able to stand stoop bend stretch and squat for approximately 60 percent of workday
  • Must be able to push residents weighing up to 200 pounds in wheelchairs
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds occasionally and ask for assistance for heavier lifting
  • Must be available to work Tuesday through Saturday from 8 30 am to 5 pm

Job Qualifications

  • Experience and training with serving older adults including those with cognitive impairment preferred
  • High school degree required
  • Computer knowledge including PCC Microsoft Word Publisher
  • Ability to learn and adapt to technology
  • Preferred 40 hour Basic Course for activities professionals NCCAP
  • At least one year experience in social or recreation program or healthcare setting working with elderly

Job Duties

  • Assist with organizing and coordinating all activities for assisted living residents
  • Maintain current and accurate documentation for residents daily activity participation
  • Follow individualized plans of care for each resident
  • Provide quality resident care consistently and meet residents activity needs
  • Adhere to policies and procedures in accordance with state and federal guidelines
  • Assist with implementing quality assurance programs
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with residents family members and professionals
  • Ensure residents rights to fair and equitable treatment are maintained
  • Attend all in-service training and work to achieve professional growth
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
