Job Requirements
- Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds regularly and push individuals who weigh up to 200 pounds in wheelchairs
- must be able to regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel
- stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- and talk and hear
- must be able to stay awake for the entire shift
- High School Diploma or GED
- at least one year experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
- 21 years of age or older
- valid CPR/First aid Certification
- less than 5 points on valid driver’s license
- must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
- ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of supervisors, staff, parents, and the general public
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Coordinates and participates in resident field trips and leisure activities
- plans and participates in indoor/outdoor activities including social and group interaction activities
- coordinates staff and resident parties including special functions
- prepares a monthly calendar of activities
- maintains database for resident activities and field trips providing relevant information for annual IPs and 90-day reviews for residents
- participates in team meetings
- works directly with residents on skill developments
- functions as active team member
- assists Volunteer Coordinator with resident related activities
- participates in initial, required and ongoing staff development trainings and in-services
