Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year experience in assisted living or senior population exposure preferred
- One year supervisory and management experience
- Current driver’s license with acceptable record
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Sunrise software
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings
- Completion of required training including driver training where applicable
- Ability to pass drug test and physical evaluations
- Compliance with vaccination requirements as mandated
- Valid background check
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
Job Qualifications
- One year experience preferred in assisted living or senior care
- One year supervisory and management experience
- Ability to lead and motivate volunteers and team members
- Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office and Sunrise applications
- Ability to work weekends, evenings, and flexible hours
- Current and valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Knowledge of senior care programs and services
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Experience with budgeting and financial management
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance and quality assurance
- Training and coaching skills
Job Duties
- Maintain a balanced resident centered activity program
- Assess, plan, and manage facilitation of activities
- Recruit entertainers and schedule special events
- Prepare and review activity calendar and newsletter
- Coordinate with other departments for supplies and equipment
- Plan and facilitate mixed group activities
- Conduct activities in the Reminiscence Neighborhood
- Provide support to Reminiscence Coordinator
- Coordinate updates to resident’s Individualized Service Plan
- Ensure compliance with laws and regulations
- Maintain a public relations program
- Delegate care of animals and plants
- Network to build volunteer base
- Manage volunteer orientation and training
- Implement volunteer recognition program
- Involve families and volunteers in activities
- Train team members on talents and values
- Manage Smile app and quality reports
- Review daily resident logs
- Develop individualized resident programs
- Schedule Resident Counsel Meetings
- Assist with community budgeting
- Manage department budget and expenses
- Review financial statements
- Ensure regulatory compliance
- Conduct team member recruitment and training
- Lead engagement and improvement sessions
- Manage staffing and scheduling
- Perform performance appraisals
- Attend meetings and training
- Maintain compliance with required training
