Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in elderly care or healthcare environment preferred
- availability to work part-time on weekends
- excellent listening and communication skills
- ability to work collaboratively
- physical ability to assist residents and perform housekeeping duties
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience working with elderly or in a healthcare setting preferred
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to build rapport with elderly residents
- basic understanding of activity coordination and sensory stimulation techniques
- ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Job Duties
- Implement group programming that promotes interaction between residents
- notify residents and staff of activity schedules
- visit with residents on a one-to-one basis as directed by the Activities Director providing friendly visitation, sensory stimulation, reality orientation, and individual needs as per each resident's Activity Plan
- select residents and communicate with nursing personnel for assistance in transporting residents to and from general activity areas
- perform general housekeeping duties in activity areas
