Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • one year experience preferred in assisted living long term care or working with senior population
  • supervisory and management experience preferred
  • current driver’s license with clean driving record
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant software
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings
  • ability to pass drug test tuberculosis test background check and physical evaluation
  • compliance with Covid-19 and influenza vaccination mandates if applicable

Job Qualifications

  • one year experience preferred in assisted living long term care or exposure to senior population
  • ability to lead and motivate volunteers and team members
  • one year supervisory and management experience including recruitment coordination training coaching and performance management
  • current driver’s license with acceptable record
  • proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office and Sunrise applications
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • completion of driver training if driving Sunrise vehicles

Job Duties

  • maintain a balanced resident centered activity program according to calendar guidelines and wellness standards
  • assess plan and manage facilitation of activities using team members and volunteers
  • recruit entertainers and schedule special events
  • prepare and review activity calendar and newsletter with executive director
  • coordinate with other departments to ensure equipment and supplies availability
  • plan and facilitate mixed group activities including reminiscence neighborhood
  • conduct activities in reminiscence neighborhood regularly
  • support development of reminiscence programs and coordinate events
  • update resident Individualized Service Plans
  • ensure compliance with laws and regulations
  • maintain public relations program supporting activities
  • manage care of animals and plants in activities program
  • network with local community and build volunteer base
  • manage volunteer orientation training and records
  • implement volunteer recognition program
  • involve families residents and volunteers in activities
  • train team members in talent use and resident activity support
  • manage Smile app quality reports and KPI dashboard
  • review daily logs and note resident changes
  • refer to resident profiles
  • assess resident social needs
  • develop individualized activity programs
  • schedule and record resident council meetings
  • ensure Memory Box completion
  • assist in product and service presentation
  • assist in community budget
  • manage department budget and expenses
  • review financial statements and address deficiencies
  • process monthly expenses
  • coordinate staffing and cross training
  • ensure compliance with care regulations
  • strive for quality assurance
  • implement corrective plans
  • ensure occupational health and safety compliance
  • manage department recruiting training coaching and discipline
  • participate in training programs
  • develop knowledge of regulations
  • lead team member engagement efforts
  • complete staffing and scheduling
  • review timekeeping and payroll
  • conduct performance appraisals
  • hold team accountable
  • attend regular meetings
  • stay abreast of professional developments
