Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- College courses in marketing and/or project management desired
- Knowledge, experience, and understanding of fitness industry including racquet sports and club amenities
- Current lifeguard certification or ability to pass a lifeguard certification within 60 days of hire date
- Current CPR or ability to pass CPR certification within 60 days of hire date
- Knowledge, experience, and understanding of swimming and swim lesson programming
- Prior experience in supervising or leading swim lesson programming
- Prior experience in event planning, marketing, or sales, preferably within the fitness, retail, or hospitality industries
- Flexible/positive attitude in meeting and exceeding members expectations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- work well under pressure and time constraints and displays positive behavior in all member interactions
- Strong event planning and organizational skills
- Successfully passing a basic swim assessment required as part of the hiring process
- Ability to swim 100 meters of freestyle, breaststroke, back and butterfly
- Bilingual skills a plus
- High regard and propensity for safety
- Willing to travel to other clubs based on business needs
- Must be Trustline registered
- In-Shape will facilitate this upon acceptance of offer of employment or upon reaching the age of 18 if under the age of 18 at time of hire
Job Qualifications

- Prior supervisory experience in swim lesson programming
- Experience in event planning, marketing or sales
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong event planning and organizational skills
- Ability to swim multiple strokes
- Bilingual skills considered an asset
- Trustline registration or eligibility to be registered
- Ability to work well under pressure and maintain positive member interactions
- Flexible and positive attitude
- Willingness to travel to other clubs as needed
Job Duties
- Responsible for the development of all in-club activities programs
- Responsible for retention of club members through listening to their needs and presenting ideas based on feedback
- Responsible for retention of club activity participants through listening to their needs and presenting ideas based on feedback
- Plan, schedule and execute all scheduled club activities and backfill when needed as an instructor
- May be required to lifeguard and teach private and/or group swim lessons
- Plan, schedule and execute all marketing events
- Coordinate swim lessons at home club and other clubs as needed
- Create and maintain relationships with current and future event program vendors and partners
- Coordinate advertising efforts in advance of events through social media channels
- Manage club activities content on the club webpage
- Order supplies as needed and maintain inventory for club activities
- Responsible for administrative support for club activities
- Supervise kids summer programs and ensure the safety of children
- Act as the In-Shape local community liaison
- Responsible for managing club event planning and party rentals
- Review daily KPIs and identify trends to find opportunities to improve
- Ensure successful execution of marketing programs at the club level to generate retention and conversion
- Work within established budgets and identify areas for improved efficiencies
- Lead and model In-Shape behaviors with club core values – Deliver, Impact, and Inspire
- Participate in maintaining a safe, clean, well-run club
- Interact with members to gather feedback and support club team to deliver on our member experience
- Proactively create and promote effective working relationships with internal and external partners
- Partner with club team to complete tasks through leading by example to improve member experience
- Assist with ensuring policies and regulations comply with OSHA regulations
- Ensure club team members are modeling the In-Shape behaviors with valued members
- Review club social media results to identify success and opportunities for improvement
