Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • genuine interest in working with elderly residents including those with Alzheimer’s and Dementia
  • experience preferred but not required
  • ability to work Tuesday through Saturday from 12 pm to 8 pm
  • reliable and personable
  • commitment to confidentiality
  • patient and tactful composure

Job Qualifications

  • possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • have experience working with social or recreational activities programs
  • demonstrate genuine interest in working in a geriatric environment with elderly residents including those with Alzheimer’s and Dementia
  • be able to work as part of a team to organize and assist with activities
  • have a commitment to confidentiality and tactful composure
  • possess strong interpersonal and motivational skills

Job Duties

  • assist in planning and implementing activities programs that meet the physical, cognitive, social, and spiritual needs of residents
  • coordinate and organize social events such as holiday and birthday celebrations, community outings, and exercise programs
  • encourage and motivate residents to participate in activities
  • collaborate with team members to ensure successful event execution
  • maintain confidentiality regarding resident status and medical history
  • interact patiently and tactfully with residents, family members, staff, and visitors
  • serve as a positive and trustworthy presence within the community
