Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- genuine interest in working with elderly residents including those with Alzheimer’s and Dementia
- experience preferred but not required
- ability to work Tuesday through Saturday from 12 pm to 8 pm
- reliable and personable
- commitment to confidentiality
- patient and tactful composure
Job Qualifications
- possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- have experience working with social or recreational activities programs
- demonstrate genuine interest in working in a geriatric environment with elderly residents including those with Alzheimer’s and Dementia
- be able to work as part of a team to organize and assist with activities
- have a commitment to confidentiality and tactful composure
- possess strong interpersonal and motivational skills
Job Duties
- assist in planning and implementing activities programs that meet the physical, cognitive, social, and spiritual needs of residents
- coordinate and organize social events such as holiday and birthday celebrations, community outings, and exercise programs
- encourage and motivate residents to participate in activities
- collaborate with team members to ensure successful event execution
- maintain confidentiality regarding resident status and medical history
- interact patiently and tactfully with residents, family members, staff, and visitors
- serve as a positive and trustworthy presence within the community
