Job Requirements
- High school diploma minimum
- Associate's degree in accounting, business administration, or related field or equivalent cashier experience in a college system
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with integrated accounting software systems
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to provide excellent customer service
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to follow through and complete assignments on time
- Detail-oriented
- Must submit complete application packet including cover letter, resume, transcripts, and employment verification
- Must pass criminal background check and E-Verify process
Job Qualifications
- Associate's degree in accounting, business administration, or related field or 5 years of cashier experience in a college system may substitute
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
- Experience with a computer-automated accounting system
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Experience with Ellucian Banner accounting system preferred
- Ability to multitask and operate in a fast-paced environment
- Experience providing excellent customer service
- Comprehensive knowledge of institutional policies and procedures
- Ability to work independently and prepare accurate reports
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to represent the college professionally

Job Duties
- Assist the AR Manager with student account management and cashiering
- Assist with processing and posting reimbursements and daily balancing accounts
- Assist with billing, balancing, and reconciling student accounts
- Assist with year-end processing, loading scholarships, reversing payments, applying fees, and resolving discrepancies
- Collect and receipt tuition, fees, and other general cash
- Make bank deposits from various revenue sources and enter requisitions to generate purchase orders
- Receive cash, checks, and credit card payments and issue receipts
- Prepare, reconcile, and make daily deposits with cash receipts reports
- Maintain files for cash receipt documentation and petty cash fund records
- Maintain record and submit worthless checks for collection
- Coordinate with AR Manager to reverse payments of insufficient funds and add NSF fees
- Assist with third-party and student receivables refund requests
- Maintain vendor files
- Coordinate central supply ordering and enter requisitions for purchase orders
- Assist in registration process
- Assist with fiscal year-end closing and external annual audit
- Serve on various college committees as assigned
- Perform other duties as assigned
