Job Duties
- Provides exceptional customer service to the public
- Interacts with visitors and performs duties of cashiering with professionalism and courtesy
- Answers the telephone, transfers calls, and provides information related to the Finance department
- Receives monies for the payment of bills, fees, or fines from the public or through the mail
- Uses cash drawer to process and record transactions according to procedures and processes such payments in the City's accounting system
- Batches and balances cash drawer to system/register totals daily
- Reconciles monies received against receipts, bills, register tapes, vouchers, or various distributions to general ledger accounts
