Job Requirements

  • Education equivalent to a four-year college degree preferred
  • One to two years of related work experience required
  • Ability to analyze and investigate financial transactions
  • Capability to train and manage accounting personnel
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills
  • Physical ability to lift up to 20 lbs
  • Ability to work in an office environment
  • Willingness to adhere to company policies and procedures

Job Qualifications

  • A four-year college degree in accounting or related field preferred
  • One to two years of experience in a related accounting position
  • Advanced knowledge of finance and hospitality accounting principles and practices
  • Ability to investigate and analyze financial activities and data to draw logical conclusions
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office

Job Duties

  • Assist with the supervision and coordination of accounting operations
  • Compile, review, reconcile, prepare and analyze financial entries
  • Assist with processing financial statements and reports
  • Support payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, income journal, general cashiering, taxes, and internal controls functions
  • Train and direct accounting staff and assist with hiring and performance reviews
  • Prepare, review and reconcile daily postings, accruals, ledger accounts and bank statements
  • Analyze period-end data on food and beverage costs and inventories to provide recommendations
  • Supervise accounts receivable and perform credit and food and beverage controls
  • Review and monitor internal control procedures in various hotel departments
