The Account Manager role within Ecolab's Food & Beverage division is a pivotal position focused on driving sales and providing technical expertise to food, beverage, and dairy manufacturers. This role blends sales acumen with deep technical sanitation knowledge, enabling the Account Manager to serve as a trusted advisor to clients. Based in Springfield, MO, and covering a 150-mile radius, the Account Manager will engage with diverse customers across manufacturing facilities, delivering customized sanitation plans and troubleshooting operational challenges to enhance client productivity and safety. This independent role offers the benefit of a flexible schedule along with a company vehicle for both business and personal use.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and delivering compelling sales presentations, providing expert guidance on sanitation and safety processes, and establishing strategic work plans to meet sales and service goals. Notably, this position offers an attractive annual compensation range of $84,300 to $126,400, blending base salary with performance-based incentives. Job Requirements

  • bachelor's degree
  • 2 years of experience in food, beverage or dairy processing/manufacturing environment or 2 years of selling into manufacturing environments in technical sales
  • valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record
  • no immigration sponsorship available

  • desire to succeed in a competitive environment preferred
  • ability to take initiative and work independently preferred
  • strong follow-through and organizational skills preferred
  • ability to prioritize multiple projects and to adapt to changing priorities preferred

Job Duties

  • build a solid understanding of Ecolab products, plant operations, customer business objectives, and applicable government regulations
  • prepare and deliver sales presentations on Ecolab's innovative products, equipment and services
  • provide industry expertise to customers in terms of sanitation, safety, quality and operations
  • develop strategic work plans for completing sales and service/consultation calls with new and existing customers
  • communicate effectively with all levels of plant staff
  • build strong business relationships and networks
  • manage Ecolab products and equipment
  • participate in equipment installations, observe and test equipment and product performance, repair or adjust equipment, adjust chemical concentration levels, monitor product inventory and place orders
