Job Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of customer service or call center experience
  • Pleasant and professional phone skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work quickly with accurate decision-making skills
  • Ability to use general office equipment including multi-line telephone systems
  • Healthcare experience including medical terminology and managed care strongly preferred

Job Qualifications

  • High school degree or equivalent, associate's degree preferred
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of customer service or call center experience
  • Pleasant and professional phone skills with good diction, tone, and pace
  • Strong written and communication skills including grammar and spelling
  • Ability to work quickly while making accurate decisions
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and managed care strongly preferred
  • Experienced in using multi-line telephone systems and office equipment

Job Duties

  • Serve as a point of contact for referring physicians, patients, and caregivers
  • Convert callers interested in Virtua Health into appointments, referrals, and utilization of services
  • Navigate patients through the continuum of care
  • Coordinate all appointments for services, consults, classes, and Virtua programs
  • Provide physician referrals according to callers' needs
  • Perform data entry and complete all data records with concise patient information and appropriate coding
  • Follow-up with patients via telephone and correspondences
  • Collaborate with providers and care team as necessary
  • Maintain confidential records and resolve routine inquiries
  • Develop a thorough understanding of Virtua services
  • Reconcile department money reports and process credit card transactions
  • Conduct outreach efforts to establish and maintain positive working relationships with key customers
