Job Requirements
- Hold current USCG Merchant Mariner credentials
- Hold STCW 95 endorsements including Basic Training, VPDSD, and oil tanker cargo operations certification
- Possess National Endorsement as Tankerman Assist or Tankerman PIC
- Possess valid USCG/STCW medical certificate
- Possess valid TWIC
- Possess valid passport
- Ability to perform physical duties and maintain safety standards at sea and in port
Job Qualifications
- Hold current USCG Merchant Mariner document
- STCW 95 endorsements including Basic Training and VPDSD
- Hold Basic Oil Tanker Cargo Operations or Advanced Oil Tanker Cargo Operations certification
- Have National Endorsement as Tankerman Assist or Tankerman PIC
- Possess valid USCG/STCW medical certificate
- Possess valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
- Possess valid passport
Job Duties
- Perform helmsman duties as required receiving steering orders and manually manipulating the vessel's wheel
- Stand at sea lookout watches as required
- Stand hose and gangway watch while in port ensuring hose pressures and leakage prevention and proper gangway rigging
- Stand cargo watch communicating gauge tape readings to watch officer and assist with turning cargo valves
- Assist Deck Officer during loading and discharging operations
- Perform maintenance and other seaman's duties on deck under bosun or chief mate's direction
- Participate actively in monthly safety meetings and emergency response teams
