Job Requirements
- Minimum age 18
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of company orientation and food safety and sanitation training upon hire
- Ability to function in a fast-paced retail environment
- Ability to lift and safely manage weights up to 50-55 lbs depending on department
- Commitment to food safety and sanitation standards
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to use computer systems
- Strong customer service orientation

Job Duties
- Provide superior customer service
- Take orders from customers by telephone or in person
- Prepare, package, and merchandise fresh product effectively
- Slice, package, label, rotate, and cull products for poor quality
- Assist in technical areas as needed such as set-up and clean-up
- Use suggestive selling techniques to meet customer needs and build sales
- Clean and sanitize display cases and operate equipment properly
- Comply with H-E-B food safety and sanitation standards
- Record production and shrink in bakery
- Take care of service counter customers in deli
- Perform inventory management processes
- Prepare and serve products in prepared foods
- Educate customers on food preparation and reheating
- Prepackage condiments
- Cut, slice, dice, and chop food in preparation for chefs
