Job Requirements
- minimum age 18
- high school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of bakery experience
- completion of company orientation, safety training, and eCommerce online ordering training upon hire
- knowledge of computer systems and equipment
- strong customer service skills
- communication and interpersonal skills
- reading and writing skills
- planning and organizing skills
- ability to function in a fast-paced retail environment
- ability to stand constantly, reach at waist, grasp
- occasional ability to walk, reach at overhead, reach at shoulder, reach at knee, reach at floor, bend, stoop, squat, crouch, kneel, stair climb, pivot, twist, push/pull with arms, pinch, and utilize fine motor skills
- ability to occasionally be exposed to wet, cold, hot conditions, and loud noise
- ability to lift up to 40 lbs
- ability to manage weights in excess of 25 lbs while following safe lifting practices

Job Duties
- provide superior customer service
- take cake orders from customers by telephone or in person with a high level of accuracy
- answer customer questions regarding products and assist them with selections
- use suggestive selling techniques to meet customer needs and build department sales
- apply proper decorating techniques for each item according to visual training aids to produce quality cakes and pastries
- write on cakes with icing on request
- read and execute daily production list through cake flow
- ensure quality control of all products before sending to sales floor per visual training aids
- ensure cake product reaches the showcase and tables at prescribed times
- prepare, package, and merchandise fresh product effectively
- slice, package, label, and rotate products
- record production and shrink to aid in production planning
- maintain sanitation in work area
- comply with H-E-B food safety and sanitation standards
- comply with department and store operating procedures
- operate and maintain all equipment properly
