Job Requirements

  • 1 year experience in a similar position
  • prior loan experience
  • knowledge of Federal, State and NCUA regulations
  • comprehensive knowledge of deposit account products and services
  • working knowledge of loan products and systems
  • genuine interest in member service
  • ability to work under pressure
  • proficiency in PC and Microsoft applications
  • good verbal and written communication skills
  • attention to detail

Job Qualifications

  • 1 year experience in a similar position
  • prior loan experience
  • knowledge of Federal, State and NCUA regulations including BSA, Regulation CC, Regulation D, and Regulation E
  • comprehensive knowledge of deposit account products and services
  • working knowledge of loan products and systems such as Loans PQ
  • proven ability to generate business
  • strong interpersonal skills with empathetic and caring nature
  • ability to work under pressure with frequent interruptions
  • proficient in PC operations and Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel
  • good verbal and written communication skills
  • excellent problem solving and organizational skills
  • attention to detail
  • successful completion of compliance coursework
  • NMLS registered
  • notary preferred

Job Duties

  • Consults with members
  • identifies needs, offers solutions, and follows up on pending transactions
  • holds conversations with members in person or over the phone
  • calls on call reports to generate business
  • escorts members to appropriate destinations for resolution
  • receives and disburses funds
  • opens new accounts/sub-shares
  • originates and processes loan applications including consumer loan types
  • performs account maintenance including issuing/re-pinning cards, address and name changes, updating account setups, adding joint owners and beneficiaries
  • closes accounts
  • processes deceased accounts
  • performs notary services
  • issues cashier’s checks
  • recommends and refers products such as Mortgage, Investment Services, and Autoland
  • ensures branch is balanced
  • identifies and reports suspicious or fraudulent activity
  • completes required training and compliance modules
  • supports and participates in continuous improvement initiatives and Credit Union events
  • represents Credit Union professionally
  • maintains confidentiality of member information
  • treats team members and members with respect
  • performs other related duties as assigned
