Job Requirements
- high school graduate or equivalent
- 5 years of relevant aviation maintenance experience
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate
- current Inspection Authority certificate
- experience supporting fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft maintenance
- completed military aircraft repairer course or equivalent civilian experience
- able to perform maintenance operational checks and troubleshooting
- pass a background security check
- comply with random drug testing
- able to lift 10-15 pounds regularly
- availability to work full-time onsite at Temple Draughon-Miller Airport
Job Qualifications
- high school graduate or 4 years direct relevant experience
- completed military aircraft repairer course or holds an FAA A&P mechanic certificate
- must have an FAA airframe and powerplant certificate
- minimum 5 years direct relevant experience supporting fixed wing and rotary wing aviation programs
- possess current Inspection Authority (IA) certificate with IA training
- at least 2 years experience supporting general aviation programs
- minimum 2 years experience performing maintenance operational checks and troubleshooting
- ability to lift 10-15 pounds as part of A&P duties
- able to pass a background security check
- agree to periodic random drug prevention testing to comply with company and FAA directives
Job Duties
- Perform highly advanced aircraft inspections on fixed-wing and rotary aircraft as per FAA standards
- Oversee tracking of aircraft compliance ensuring adherence to manufacturer and FAA regulations
- Provide technical guidance to mechanics and less experienced inspectors
- Support KBFS internal fleet under various FAA parts including 61, 91, 133, 135, 137, and 141
- Inspect and approve aircraft and component repairs for major inspections in alignment with KBFS General Operating Manual and FAA regulations
- Document quality control and approval actions in aircraft historical records and ensure FAA compliance
- Ensure all maintenance operations conform to Corporate and KBFS Safety Management System (SMS) requirements
