Job Requirements

  • Culinary arts degree
  • Five years management experience
  • Five years experience in catering management or food production management
  • Bachelor’s degree in culinary arts or related field preferred
  • ServSafe certification preferred
  • Bilingual-English mandatory/Spanish preferred

Job Duties

  • Project a positive and creative attitude toward NS initiatives, especially CREATION Health and The Healthy 100 Programs
  • Communicate effectively with the public, media, marketing, and all staff
  • Promote a positive team spirit by displaying a friendly, impartial and compassionate attitude
  • Interact and network with dietitians, local vendors, restaurants, and the media to promote, teach and demonstrate the preparation and presentation of healthy and vegetarian cuisine
  • Collaborate with internal and external contacts to coordinate promotional opportunities and events, such as culinary demonstrations, taste tests, and media appearances
  • Create new recipes that focus on healthy and/or vegetarian cuisine and implement using established processes
  • Train and teach chefs, cooks, and food handlers throughout the system to boost sales and customer/patient satisfaction by improving food preparation and presentation techniques for patients and retail customers, including catering customers and doctors
