Job Duties

  • Ensure all dishes are prepared following the highest standards
  • Prepare and plate high-quality dishes
  • Supervise team members when needed
  • Clean and organize all work areas to prevent cross-contamination
  • Conduct mise en place for all relevant meals
  • Assist in timely and efficient guest request handling
  • Monitor food quality and proper storage
  • Support cost control, optimize gross profit margin, achieve financial or departmental goals
  • Assist other departments and promote a positive work atmosphere when needed
  • Support the kitchen chef/sous chef in training all staff to comply with company regulations
  • Report maintenance needs, hygiene issues, and hazards
  • Adhere to hotel safety, fire protection, health, occupational safety, and food safety regulations
  • Practice environmental awareness
