Job Requirements
- Can create and maintain genuine, uplifting interactions with strangers for up to two minutes at a time
- Can work carefully and quickly with hot water, coffee, glass bottles, and dairy products
- Can work outside for prolonged periods regardless of weather conditions
- Can lift up to 50lbs
- Can stand comfortably for hours at a time
- Can climb a ladder and use a stepladder
- Can stand, sit, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as necessary to stock and clean the stand
- Can safely walk between and around cars in the drive-thru line
- Can quickly and cleanly operate any position in the stand during peak hours
- Can maintain awareness of the shift’s operations while working a position
- Can assertively and graciously confront coworkers to address operational, procedural, or cultural issues
- Can adapt to problems and implement solutions in stressful situations
- Must have strong multitasking skills
- Can effectively lead and direct multiple personality types under pressure
- Must have proven leadership with teams of 40 or more members
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
- Must have and keep a valid driver’s license
Job Qualifications
- Strong leadership abilities demonstrated in fast-paced environments
- Proven ability to create and maintain uplifting customer interactions
- Skilled with managing multiple projects and deadlines effectively
- Experience with coaching and training teams
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and email communication
- Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to change
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license
Job Duties
- Become proficient in all Brewista and Shift Lead duties and skill sets
- Maintain excellent wait times, cleanliness, and customer interactions through training, coaching, and encouragement
- Provide regular feedback to each team member on strengths and areas of growth
- Work with crew’s needs and availability to create weekly shift schedules while maintaining budgeted labor costs and ensuring quick service
- Track and order inventory, small wares, parts, and equipment while minimizing costs through waste elimination and accurate counting
- Ensure appropriate cash handling, deposits, and change management
- Work independently and involve district coach as needed
- Ensure crew compliance with all health and safety requirements
- Develop new leaders to fill future roles
- Implement directives from upper management promptly
- Delegate tasks thoughtfully to leadership team and Brewistas to optimize efficiency and development
- Handle hiring, firing, and disciplinary actions related to shift leads and baristas
