Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum eight years of flying experience
- At least five years military flying experience
- 1500 or more flying hours in 707 aircraft variants
- Experience as simulator instructor
- Completed formal academic instructor course
- Strong facilitation and analytical skills
- Proficient in interpreting technical documents
- Effective communication skills
- Mathematical proficiency
- Strong reasoning skills
- Eligible for DoD personal security clearance
- Willingness to work overtime and varying shifts
- Capable of minimal supervision
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher learning
- Minimum eight years of total flying experience including at least five years of military experience
- 1500 or more flying hours in 707 aircraft variants
- Experience as an academic platform/training device (simulator) instructor
- Completion of a formal academic instructor course
- Strong facilitation, data analysis, language, mathematical, and reasoning skills
- Proficient in reading, analyzing, and interpreting complex technical and procedural documents
- Effective communication skills for responding to inquiries and generating oral and written presentations
- Mathematical ability to calculate figures, amounts, and percentages, and interpret graphs
- Strong reasoning skills to define problems, gather data, establish facts, and formulate valid conclusions
- Eligible to participate in periodic aircraft familiarization flights
- Capable of performing duties with minimal supervision
- Willing to work overtime, varying shifts, and on any day of the week as operational needs dictate
Job Duties
- Delivers comprehensive instruction on 707 pilot procedures within aircraft, classroom, and simulator environments
- Conducts specialized training programs including crew resource management (CRM) and advanced instrument concepts
- Contributes as a subject matter expert in the development of new training curricula and provides expert review of existing lessons and proposed modifications
- Proactively identifies and suggests improvements to optimize training policies and procedures
- Cultivates a positive learning environment and encourages the adoption of new technologies and tasks
- Provides ground training for fellow crew members, offering diagnosis and remediation for student challenges
- Manages administrative duties encompassing scheduling, record keeping, student progress monitoring, counseling, quality assurance, safety protocols, security procedures, and maintenance of training programs and equipment
- Ensures the safety of all attendees within the simulator environment and is comfortable with simulator motion
- Maintains a high level of proficiency in the operation of essential 707 aircrew training devices
- Leverages prior aircraft operating experience to establish credibility and effectively engage students
