Job Requirements

  • bachelor’s degree
  • minimum eight years flying experience
  • at least five years military flying experience
  • 1500 flying hours in 707 variants
  • experience as simulator instructor
  • completion of formal instructor training
  • strong facilitation and reasoning skills
  • proficient reading and interpreting technical documents
  • able to produce effective presentations
  • eligible for DoD personal security clearance
  • able to work with minimal supervision
  • willing to work varying shifts and overtime
  • must be U.S. citizen due to contract requirements

Job Qualifications

  • bachelor’s degree obtained from an accredited institution of higher learning
  • a minimum of eight years of total flying experience including at least five years of military experience
  • 1500 or more flying hours in the specified 707 aircraft types
  • experience as an academic platform/training device (simulator) instructor
  • completion of a formal academic instructor course
  • strong facilitation, data analysis, language, mathematical, and reasoning skills
  • proficient in reading, analyzing, and interpreting complex technical and procedural documents
  • capable of generating impactful oral and written presentations on complex subjects
  • mathematical ability to calculate figures, amounts, and percentages and to interpret graphs
  • strong reasoning skills to define problems, gather data, establish facts, and formulate conclusions
  • eligible to participate in periodic aircraft familiarization flights
  • capable of performing duties with minimal supervision
  • willingness to work overtime, varying shifts, and any day as operational needs dictate

Job Duties

  • delivers comprehensive instruction on 707 pilot procedures within aircraft, classroom, and simulator environments
  • conducts specialized training programs in crew resource management (CRM) and advanced instrument concepts
  • contributes as a subject matter expert in developing new training curricula and reviewing existing lessons and proposed modifications
  • proactively identifies and suggests improvements to optimize training policies and procedures
  • cultivates a positive learning environment and encourages the adoption of new technologies and tasks
  • provides ground training for fellow crew members, offering diagnosis and remediation for student challenges
  • manages administrative duties including scheduling, record keeping, student progress monitoring, counseling, quality assurance, safety and security protocols, and maintenance of training programs and equipment
