Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy items
  • Availability to work flexible hours as needed

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Good interpersonal skills

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in inventory management or food distribution preferred
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
  • Ability to operate a vehicle safely
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and follow protocols
  • Experience in social service or community outreach is a plus

Job Duties

  • Review inventory records to determine necessary foodstuffs stock levels
  • Prepare food bank requisitions and replenish pantry stock
  • Direct the preparation of emergency food allocations based on family size and dietary needs
  • Assist in distribution of emergency food supplies
  • Distribute emergency clothing and household goods to eligible customers
  • Maintain records related to food distribution, inventory, and requisitions
  • Act as liaison with Food Bank and other emergency food providers
  • Drive agency vehicle for door to door delivery and pick-ups
  • Report vehicle maintenance issues to the Director of Emergency and Family Services
  • Perform cleaning and maintenance of the vehicle including car wash, vacuuming, and tidying
  • Maintain vehicle mileage log
  • Follow all cleaning, sanitizing, and check in protocols and procedures
