Job Requirements

  • must be at least eighteen years old
  • high school graduation or GED
  • one year experience in aquatics or supervisory activities
  • ability to demonstrate swimming skills
  • valid Texas Driver's License
  • valid certifications through the American Red Cross in Lifeguarding, First-Aid, and CPR-AED or ability to be certified by first day
  • ability to work an open and flexible schedule
  • successful completion of drug and alcohol screening, physical examination, and background check

Job Qualifications

  • high school graduation or GED
  • one year experience in aquatics or supervisory activities
  • ability to demonstrate swimming skills
  • valid Texas Driver's License
  • valid certifications through the American Red Cross in Lifeguarding, First-Aid, and CPR-AED or ability to be certified by first day
  • professionalism and leadership skills
  • ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Schedule staff hours and supervise the swimming pool staff
  • keep all pertinent information on staff members
  • test swimming pool water to analyze water chemistry
  • receive cash from patrons, monitor balances and deliver daily deposits
  • prepare daily and weekly lesson plans
  • monitor and observe the pool area for safety, weather, temperature, and other conditions
  • act as a lifeguard by watching over swimmers and patrons to ensure safety
  • perform first aid, CPR, and other rescue functions
  • set-up the pool area, bring out equipment, and close the pool
  • clean the pool deck, facility, restrooms, and surrounding pool areas
  • perform related tasks as necessary
