Job Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in food preparation or cooking preferred
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to follow health and safety regulations
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Ability to follow company customer service procedures
- Demonstrated prior customer service skills or related experience
- Ability to interact with customers and co-workers
- Ability to read prices, forms, recipes, and tags
- Ability to work independently when necessary
- Ability to understand and follow directions
- Knowledge of authentic Chinese cooking and techniques desired
Job Duties
- Provide customer service as currently defined by the employer within company policy
- Follow recipes to prepare and cook food
- Cut, chop, slice, and clean meat and produce in preparation for cooking
- Assist with service at the counter as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of food preparation area
- Retrieve supplies from storage areas, coolers, and freezers
- Write orders and manage inventory
- Oversee China Express cooks and ensure compliance with company standards
