Job Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree
- previous quantity food production experience
- ability to read and interpret safety rules and instructions
- ability to perform basic arithmetic
- ability to follow instructions in written, oral, or diagram form
- physical capability to stand extensively, lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, walk, stoop, climb occasionally
- specific vision abilities including close vision and color vision
Job Qualifications

- some previous quantity food production experience
- ability to read and interpret safety rules, instructions, and procedure manuals
- ability to record data and simple arithmetic
- ability to apply common sense to follow written, oral, or diagram instructions
- physical ability to meet job demands including standing, lifting, walking, stooping
- specific vision abilities including close vision, color vision, and focus adjustment
Job Duties
- Assist in preparation and assembly of food items according to standardized recipes and instructions
- set up and maintain quantity and quality of food on serving line
- serve food to students and staff in appropriate portions
- assist with baking, mixing, and stirring activities
- perform cleaning activities to meet sanitation standards
- return items to proper storage
- assist in finishing prepared food for special events or catering
- assist cooks and cook/manager with building level record keeping
- facilitate good communication and positive environment with customers
- operate kitchen equipment to prepare, serve, and clean up meals
- perform related work as assigned
