Job Requirements
- Understand verbal and written instructions in English
- follow safety rules and procedures including the wearing of safety shoes, hearing protection, and safety glasses where appropriate
- observe Good Manufacturing Practices and CDFA policies
- be able to move around to and from designated work area on uneven, wet, and slippery surfaces including outside the factory
- work every scheduled day and arrive at workstation at or before scheduled start time
- communicate effectively with support groups, supervisors, and team members
- detect warning lights, buzzers, alarms, or instruments indicating hazardous conditions
- able to work in a wet environment
- able to grip/use a low-pressure hot water hose/nozzle for 30 minutes to 1-hour periods
- assist lift up to 60 lbs from floor to 3 feet height
- use various hand tools, open/close valves, operate switches and buttons
- able to climb and descend ladders
- able to work in temperatures ranging from 35 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit
- possess ability to understand safety and chemical handling instructions
- possess manual dexterity and strength to operate high-pressure hose and tools for equipment disassembly/reassembly
Job Qualifications
- Chemical handling experience and CIP sanitation experience preferred
- inventory control handling preferred
- ability to work autonomously with limited supervision and be results driven
- ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues
- investigative skills, people skills and training skills preferred
- ability to work side by side with maintenance to resolve issues and make improvements
- computer skills and data collection preferred
- ability to analyze and perceive trends
- report out measures to drive improvements
- work cross-shifts when necessary for training purposes
Job Duties
- Clean Sensory Room after session has been conducted
- maintain the Storage Room shelves and Production Line bins and cabinets with necessary supplies and PPE for operations
- maintain the soaps and sanitizers in every Hand-Wash station throughout the factory
- scrub assigned drains for each Hand-Wash station when scheduled
- clean and sanitize assigned areas of the factory as part of the Master Sanitation schedule
- maintain the production floor and drain brushes properly adhering to the factory color code policy
- ensure the proper disposal of plastic, trash, paper towel pieces, cardboard and other items
- empty aerosol can dispensers as needed
- adhere to drain cleaning schedule and wear proper PPE at all times
- maintain paper towel dispensers and replenish hand sanitizers
- remove damaged equipment from floor and dispose appropriately
- apply chemical sanitizer in multiple areas throughout the factory
- work with Production and Quality departments on environmental issues
- ensure unauthorized personnel do not tamper with chemicals
- maintain clean cafeteria area
- perform other duties as assigned
