Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Three years of food industry and commercial cooking experience or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Possess and maintain a valid Maricopa County Food Handler's card and Certification
- Pass a Tuberculosis test
- Possess or obtain within 90 days an Arizona Department of Public Safety IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Ability to provide excellent customer service
- Commitment to a thriving learning and working environment
- Ability to establish effective working relationships
- Ability to use initiative within policies and guidelines
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Operate the school food and nutrition program within meal pattern, budget, and productivity standards
- Direct and supervise operation of facility including running cash register
- Prepare and serve variety of hot dishes from grill at breakfast and lunch
- Supervise meal preparation, service, and clean up
- Supervise cafeteria employee hours and daily tasks
- Monitor and record temperatures of refrigerators, coolers, and freezers for compliance
- Ensure meals meet or exceed USDA Child Nutrition Program standards
- Set up steam tables and serving counters
- Maintain price and portion controls
- Order necessary food and supplies
- Keep work areas clean and clutter-free
- Maintain clean sanitary condition of kitchen equipment
- Assist in taking monthly inventory
- Demonstrate courteous and professional behavior with students, parents, visitors, and staff
