- Must obtain Texas driver’s license within 30 days of hire if applicable
- Must pass drug test

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Valid Class C driver’s license required (must obtain Texas license within 30 days if not Texas resident)
- Ability to read and understand verbal or written job instructions and safety warnings
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, floor finishes, and application methods
- Effective communication skills for interacting courteously with public and city officials
- Ability to operate cleaning and maintenance equipment
- Physical stamina to perform job duties involving prolonged standing, walking, stooping, and reaching
Job Duties
- Collection and removal of trash and replacement of trash bags in receptacles
- Sweeping and mopping of floors, vacuuming of carpeted areas
- Dusting and cleaning of furniture and all areas of the building
- Cleaning and washing of windows and mirrors
- Stripping and waxing of floors, operation of buffing and scrubbing equipment
- Cleans and sanitizes restrooms, shower areas, and gym equipment
- Restocks consumable supplies
- Setup and breakdown, and storage of tables and chairs
- Reports equipment and facility repairs in writing to the supervisor
- Changes light bulbs and air conditioning filters as needed
- Operates city vehicle as scheduled
- Reports vandalism, needed repairs, or safety concerns
- Takes inventory and monitors status of supplies
- Operates cleaning equipment and hand tools for minor maintenance
- Maintains and uses cleaning equipment responsibly
- Cleans parking lots and building grounds
- Reads and understands verbal or written instructions
- Uses good judgment to work safely and use equipment properly
