Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical ability to stand, bend, stoop, and use hands throughout the shift
  • Physical ability to push and pull up to 25 lbs, occasionally up to 45 lbs

Job Qualifications

  • Excellent guest service and communication skills with the ability to speak and write English clearly
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions in a fast-paced environment
  • Preferred knowledge of food service regulations
  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and use hands throughout the shift
  • Physical ability to push and pull up to 25 lbs, occasionally up to 45 lbs
  • Serve Safe Certification an asset
  • WHMDS training an asset
  • Knowledge of techniques for preparing and producing food for consumption including storage and handling techniques
  • Previous experience in a food environment in either front or back of the house

Job Duties

  • Organize the food as per orders to ensure quality and accuracy
  • ensure food is prepared and served in a timely manner
  • verify food orders
  • communicate with management and servers regarding menu changes throughout service
  • notify servers of food pick up
  • deliver food as required
  • decrease expense through proper handling of product
  • increase revenue through suggestive up-sell
  • ensure set up to the expedition area at the beginning of every shift
  • monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned service area
  • prepare trays for food servers with the correct plates to ensure delivery efficiency
  • complete side duties as required including polishing silverware, line set-up and filling condiments
  • perform other duties as assigned
