Job Duties
- Apply various cooking methods to meats, fish, vegetables, and other foods
- season and cook according to recipes
- execute prep lists and checklists promptly
- inspect food areas for sanitary practices
- ensure proper food temperatures
- use excellent memory skills to prepare multiple dishes simultaneously
- accurately distinguish flavors and food quality
- portion, arrange, and garnish food
- regulate cooking equipment temperatures
- assist other cooks during busy periods
- perform all kitchen duties including preparation, cooking, and cleaning
- follow recipes and procedures with minimal direction
- lift heavy items and stand/walk for most of the shift
- use various kitchen equipment effectively
