Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • one year of cooking experience preferred
  • ability to lift heavy items
  • ability to stand and walk for most of the shift
  • familiarity with health and sanitation regulations
  • bring personal knives on the first day

  • strong multitasking ability

Job Duties

  • Apply various cooking methods to meats, fish, vegetables, and other foods
  • season and cook according to recipes
  • execute prep lists and checklists promptly
  • inspect food areas for sanitary practices
  • ensure proper food temperatures
  • use excellent memory skills to prepare multiple dishes simultaneously
  • accurately distinguish flavors and food quality
  • portion, arrange, and garnish food
  • regulate cooking equipment temperatures
  • assist other cooks during busy periods
  • perform all kitchen duties including preparation, cooking, and cleaning
  • follow recipes and procedures with minimal direction
  • lift heavy items and stand/walk for most of the shift
  • use various kitchen equipment effectively
