Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- at least one year of experience serving tables in an upscale dining venue preferred
- ability to lift up to 30 lbs
- ability to perform extensive walking, pulling, pushing, carrying, bending, stooping and standing
- ability to work in environments with exposure to heat and cold in food production
- must be neat and clean at all times
- flexibility in scheduling including evenings, weekends, holidays and inclement weather
- ability to work as a universal worker
- exposure to sights, sounds and odors in a healthcare environment including dementia patients
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- at least one year of experience serving tables in an upscale dining venue preferred
- knowledge of dining room procedures, presentation, service, bussing, customer relations and sanitation
- comfortable using personal computers and handheld devices
- ability to use Microsoft Office
- ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide
- ability to read, write and communicate in English
- ability to taste, smell and see with or without corrected vision
- comfortable working with older adults
- able to work in a fast-paced environment performing multiple tasks while maintaining professionalism
Job Duties
- Responsible for the resident dining satisfaction
- place food orders and deliver food and drink to residents in proper fine dining fashion
- clearing courses and perform cleaning of assigned dining areas
- participate in set-up and breakdown of special function events
- attend all mandatory in-service training sessions
- assist with the training and development of other servers as requested by management
- assist in restocking and sanitation of wait stations and service areas used during service
- maintain the highest level of productivity and professionalism
- enter food and beverage orders into the system used to communicate with the kitchen
- perform all other duties as assigned
