Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Willingness to learn cashiering duties
- Ability to stand for most of shift, bend and walk occasionally
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally using proper techniques
- Ability to push and/or pull 50-100 pounds occasionally
- Ability to follow safety regulations
- Must maintain attendance and timeliness
- Prohibited from using personal cell phones on the sales floor
- Ability to manage stress in a fast-paced environment
- Must comply with company policies and procedures
- Possess time management skills
- Must be responsible and reliable
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree preferred
- Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions
- Strong communication skills to interact with coworkers and guests
- Bilingual skills are a plus
- Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Friendly, patient, and outgoing personality
- Strong work ethic and ability to complete tasks timely
- Valid TABC Beverage Sellers Permit and in some cases valid Food Handlers Permit
Job Duties
- Know and actively demonstrate the company mission statement and core values daily
- Maintain uniform standards for all worked hours
- Greet guests with a smiling face and helpful demeanor using guest service scripts
- Operate cash register or electronic scanner and look up products as needed
- Ensure proper pricing by scanning correct barcodes
- Use and maintain computers, registers, and scanner equipment properly
- Suggestively sell items and offer additional products including charity contributions at checkout
