Job Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- one year of college or technical school preferred
- experience working with school aged children preferred
- ability to make good judgment
- ability to work effectively with the general public
- ability to carry out written and oral instructions
Job Qualifications
- Experience working with children
- knowledge of games, sports, arts and crafts
- ability to plan group activities and special events
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to follow written and oral instructions
- self-motivated with good judgment
- education major or teacher preferred
Job Duties
- Plan and lead a variety of daily and weekly activities for children
- plan, organize and implement special events throughout the summer
- maintain appropriate safety measures for program participants
- collaborate with Recreation Supervisor to ensure program success
- communicate effectively with children and parents
- adapt activities to engage children of different ages and abilities
- assist in set up and clean up of activity areas
