Job Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to climb stairs, walk on uneven terrain, and work in varying weather conditions
- Ability to mix and use cleaning solutions safely following dilution guidelines
- Visual and auditory ability to identify and respond to environmental and safety hazards
- Ability to perform first aid and respond calmly and effectively in an emergency
Job Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience in custodial, facilities, or housekeeping work preferred
- Current or willingness to obtain First Aid and CPR certification
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow cleaning and safety protocols
- Ability to work independently and take initiative in completing assigned tasks
- Commitment to maintaining a safe, healthy, and inclusive environment for campers and staff
- Willingness to abide by the policies and practices of Girl Scouts of Connecticut
Job Duties
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all restrooms, bathhouses, and wash stations throughout the camp
- Regularly clean toilets, sinks, floors, and fixtures using approved cleaning products and safety protocols
- Support the cleaning and upkeep of program areas, dining spaces, and lodges as assigned
- Ensure all cleaning materials and chemicals are properly stored and labeled
- Monitor supply levels and communicate inventory needs promptly
- Assist with the organization, cleaning, and restocking of camp supplies and food storage areas
- Support daily operations such as luggage transport, setup, and cleanup on camper arrival and departure days
