Job Requirements

  • be completing or have completed bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or related field
  • u.s. citizenship
  • ability to obtain and maintain a NAC-I clearance
  • willingness to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • availability for occasional travel up to 10%
  • strong technical aptitude
  • cumulative gpa of 3.00 or higher preferred

Job Qualifications

  • bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related field
  • experience or education in spacecraft operations
  • ability to obtain and maintain a NAC-I clearance
  • strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • good communication and teamwork skills
  • willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to travel up to 10%

Job Duties

  • provide mission operations support to a space satellite program
  • work with systems engineers to develop operational documentation for satellite operations
  • create and update executable scripts and associated procedures
  • conduct testing using simulators and resolve discrepancies
  • act as flight controller and mission planner during spacecraft operations
  • monitor spacecraft state of health and perform telemetry trending
  • verify spacecraft commands before transmission
  • track space vehicle configuration including hardware, software, and parameters
  • modify and develop operations procedures based on in-flight performance
