Job Requirements
- be completing or have completed bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or related field
- u.s. citizenship
- ability to obtain and maintain a NAC-I clearance
- willingness to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- availability for occasional travel up to 10%
- strong technical aptitude
- cumulative gpa of 3.00 or higher preferred
Job Qualifications
- bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related field
- experience or education in spacecraft operations
- ability to obtain and maintain a NAC-I clearance
- strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- good communication and teamwork skills
- willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- ability to travel up to 10%
Job Duties
- provide mission operations support to a space satellite program
- work with systems engineers to develop operational documentation for satellite operations
- create and update executable scripts and associated procedures
- conduct testing using simulators and resolve discrepancies
- act as flight controller and mission planner during spacecraft operations
- monitor spacecraft state of health and perform telemetry trending
- verify spacecraft commands before transmission
- track space vehicle configuration including hardware, software, and parameters
- modify and develop operations procedures based on in-flight performance
