Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- At least eight years of relevant experience including management
- Experience in airport operations management at a commercial service airport
- Valid driver's license meeting organizational driving record standards
- Ability to obtain and maintain Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge eligibility
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in airport management or a related field
- Equivalent experience substituting education (eight years relevant experience)
- Minimum eight years of progressively responsible experience
- At least four years in management and supervisory roles
- Five years of airport operations management experience at a commercial service airport
- Industry training and certifications preferred
Job Duties
- Provide leadership and oversight to airport operations and field maintenance departments
- Participate in long-term and short-term planning and policy development
- Coordinate with managers to achieve strategic plan objectives and KPIs
- Oversee compliance with FAA Part 139 regulations and conduct airport inspections
- Maintain wildlife permits and manage the Wildlife Hazard Management Plan
- Monitor field conditions and issue Notices to Airmen (NOTAMS) as necessary
- Manage Winter Operations in coordination with the management team
- Support and oversee the Safety Management System program
- Oversee airfield operations and ensure compliance with airport regulations
- Perform emergency management duties as outlined in the Airport Emergency Plan
- Assess risks and develop mitigation plans
- Manage capital planning for equipment and infrastructure
- Prepare and oversee department budgets and expenditures
- Coordinate projects and contracts related to airfield maintenance
- Develop and implement systems for inspection and maintenance of airside infrastructure
- Direct analytical studies and prepare reports for regulatory compliance
- Monitor technological and legislative developments affecting operations
- Liaise with tenants, FAA, airlines, and other stakeholders
- Coordinate operational planning with airlines and government agencies
- Evaluate federally mandated programs for operational efficiency
- Ensure environmental permit compliance
- Plan and implement community outreach efforts
- Enforce airport rules and regulations
- Perform other assigned duties and adhere to Authority policies
