Job Requirements
- must be twenty-one years old
- high school diploma or equivalent
- three years secretarial or clerical experience in a multi-departmental or complex organization
- ability to perform multiple tasks during peak hours
- ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- ability to work flexible schedules
- must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and private automobile
- must pass post-offer/pre-employment background check
- ability to occasionally lift up to 40 pounds
- may require some evening or weekend work and travel
- ability to interact with leaders and staff inside and outside the department
- may need to drive bus routes if licensed
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent
- three years secretarial or clerical experience in a complex organization
- experience in bookkeeping, receptionist work, and data input
- preferred experience in dispatching or transportation operations
- preferred class b new mexico cdl with p and s endorsements
- preferred two years post high school training with additional related experience
- bilingual in english and spanish is preferred
- excellent communication and customer service skills
- strong organizational skills
- ability to use microsoft office and google suites
- knowledge of general accounting principles
- ability to manage databases
- good written and verbal communication abilities
- effective multitasking skills
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Duties
- assists in diverse administrative activities for transportation leadership
- collects and processes payroll data
- establishes FTE hours and layover time for routes and drivers
- schedules and coordinates meetings, events, and appointments
- prepares statistical and narrative reports
- manages mail and correspondence
- requisitions supplies and services
- maintains purchase orders and invoices
- conducts weekly meetings with drivers
- researches and compiles data for reports
- provides staff and operational support
- assists with dispatching and answers phones
- monitors route coverage and employee call-ins
- inputs transportation requests into district data systems
- coordinates extra trips with district staff and stakeholders
- may drive bus routes
- performs related duties as assigned
