Job Requirements

  • Twenty-one years old
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • three years secretarial or clerical experience in multi-department or complex organization including bookkeeping, receptionist work, data input
  • preferred dispatching or transportation operations experience
  • preferred Class B New Mexico CDL with P and S endorsements
  • preferred two years post-secondary education
  • preferred bilingual English-Spanish
  • must have excellent communication and customer service skills
  • ability to work multiple tasks during peak hours
  • good organizational skills
  • flexible schedule availability
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • ability to perform data gathering, analysis, and reporting
  • valid driver's license and private automobile
  • ability to occasionally perform heavy lifting up to 40 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • three years secretarial or clerical experience
  • experience with bookkeeping, receptionist duties, and data input
  • one or more years dispatching or transportation operations experience preferred
  • class B New Mexico CDL with P and S endorsements preferred
  • two years post-secondary education plus five years related experience preferred
  • bilingual English-Spanish preferred
  • excellent communication and customer service skills
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • knowledge of general accounting principles
  • ability to analyze data and prepare reports
  • strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • ability to work independently and in a team
  • demonstrated word processing and data entry skills

Job Duties

  • Assists in diverse administrative activities for transportation leadership
  • collects and processes payroll data
  • establishes FTE hours and calculations for routes
  • schedules and coordinates meetings, events, and appointments
  • prepares statistical and narrative reports
  • manages incoming and outgoing mail
  • requisitions supplies and services
  • maintains purchase order and invoice accountability
  • conducts weekly meetings with drivers
  • researches and compiles data for special reports
  • performs staff and operational support tasks
  • assists with dispatching and phone answering
  • coordinates extra trips and transportation requests
  • may drive bus routes
  • performs other related duties as assigned
