Job Requirements
- some lifting, bending, standing in one place required
- ability to follow the guidelines of The National School Lunch Program and The ND Department of Public Instruction
- willingness to communicate with the Food Service Director, Kitchen Manager, Cashier Manager, coworkers, building staff, and delivery personnel in a professional and respectful manner
- ability to maintain confidentiality in the school operation
Job Qualifications
- preference for high school graduate, but not required
- excellent communication skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment
- ability to stand for long periods of time
- ability to work as part of a team
- ability to precisely follow health and hygiene practices
Job Duties
- assist in the final preparation before serving meals
- assist in preparing meals for satellite locations
- assist in prepping and preparing fresh fruits and vegetables daily for breakfast and/or lunch
- assist in stocking ala carte items and maintain inventory
- assist in monitoring tray accuracy, items on the tray meet reimbursable meal requirements
- maintain daily production records for breakfast and lunch
- assist with dishwashing and clean-up of the kitchen area throughout the day and after meals have been served
