Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Food Handlers or ServSafe certificate
- Pre-employment background check including criminal background and work history
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, carrying, pushing, stooping, kneeling, and standing
- No required prior food service experience but preferred
- Available for part-time work up to 19.75 hours per week
- Ability to work under direct supervision
- Compliance with safety and sanitation standards
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Food Handlers or ServSafe certificate
- Basic math skills
- Ability to read and follow instructions
- Knowledge of safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to operate commercial kitchen equipment

- Good communication skills
Job Duties
- Arrange food and beverage items for serving students and staff efficiently
- Attend unit meetings, in-service training, and workshops to gather job-related information
- Clean utensils, equipment, and storage areas to maintain sanitary conditions
- Inspect food items and supplies for quantity, quality, and compliance with health standards
- Inventory food, condiments, and supplies to ensure availability for menu requirements
- Maintain kitchen and serving areas sanitary and safe according to health standards
- Monitor kitchen and cafeteria safety and sanitation
- Perform other nutritional services functions as requested by supervisor
- Prepare food and beverages to meet nutritional and meal requirements
- Report equipment malfunctions to supervisor promptly
- Serve food items to meet nutritional requirements and requests of students and staff
