Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- no prior experience necessary
- ability to adhere to safety practices
- capability to operate commercial kitchen equipment
- ability to perform basic math
- capacity to follow multi-step instructions
- must be able to work as part of a team
- willingness to work with interruptions
- ability to maintain sanitary conditions
- must pass pre-employment background check including criminal history
- must possess or obtain Food Handlers or ServSafe Certificate

Job Duties
- Arrange food and beverage items for serving to students and staff
- attend unit meetings, in-service training, and workshops
- clean utensils, equipment, and food preparation and serving areas
- inspect food items and supplies for quality and compliance with health standards
- inventory food, condiments, and supplies
- maintain equipment and storage areas in a sanitary condition
- monitor kitchen and cafeteria areas for safety and cleanliness
- perform functions of other nutritional services positions as requested
- prepare food and beverage items to meet nutritional requirements
- report equipment malfunctions
- serve food items to meet nutritional requirements and requests
- perform other related duties as assigned
