Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
no prior experience necessary
ability to adhere to safety practices
capability to operate commercial kitchen equipment
ability to perform basic math
capacity to follow multi-step instructions
must be able to work as part of a team
willingness to work with interruptions
ability to maintain sanitary conditions
must pass pre-employment background check including criminal history
must possess or obtain Food Handlers or ServSafe Certificate

Job Qualifications

food service industry experience preferred
ability to follow safety practices
capable of operating commercial kitchen equipment
basic math skills
ability to follow written and oral instructions

Job Duties

Arrange food and beverage items for serving to students and staff
attend unit meetings, in-service training, and workshops
clean utensils, equipment, and food preparation and serving areas
inspect food items and supplies for quality and compliance with health standards
inventory food, condiments, and supplies
maintain equipment and storage areas in a sanitary condition
monitor kitchen and cafeteria areas for safety and cleanliness
perform functions of other nutritional services positions as requested
prepare food and beverage items to meet nutritional requirements
report equipment malfunctions
serve food items to meet nutritional requirements and requests
perform other related duties as assigned
